Hoo Hoo!! Just came back from watching Sex & The City 2 and it's one hell of a sparkling show....everything from shoes to diamonds to clothes to necklaces to beds to even curtains shine like hell...they certainly stop at nothing to make everything shiny...(^.^)LOL...
In Sex & The City 2, all 4 girls all seem "happily" settled into their own individual lives...but as everyone of us know, things in life are never truly that simplistic....and we all have our own set of problems and issues in life....whether be it coping with being a single & fearing we will never get married.....to being married but fearing that this is all there is to our lives....to have successfully climbed up the corporate ladder but feeling stuck & unhappy in what we are doing.....to love our children with all that our hearts can possibly give but yet feel happy at the thought of being away from them (cos they drive us NUTS!!!)....
But yet at the heart of all the issues & challenges that the 4 different women faces, there lies a common ground for them - their friendship....& this is what makes Sex & The City 2 such a successful movie....
Sure, we watch it for the glamorous lifestyles, expensive slinky clothes and all that fancy partying....which women doesn't want that?
But at the end of the day, i think a lot of women can relate to the movie (even though story plot obviously is not the biggest focus here & it gets cliche at times...LOL) because in each of us, we can see a little bit of ourselves in the 4 women....we might never be the fashionista that Carrie is but it doesn't mean that we never dream of wanting to look fashionable (otherwise, fashion mags won't sell like hot cakes..lol)...we might never be a successful lawyer like Miranda but it doesn't mean we have not sacrificed our personal life in order to work our way up the corporate ladder....we might never have as AWESOME a sex life like Samantha's but it doesn't mean we never try to knock the socks out of our men so as to ensure a BIG "O" Night!!!lol...and in case you are wondering, "O" refers to Orgasm (^.^)...and who doesn't want to have a great orgasm? Those who said they dun care for it - in my opinion, they just haven't experienced true earthshaking heaven...(^.^), & believe me, it's way better than any food & i'm an avid food lover!!....LOL...
well, if you are going to watch the movie, thinking it be better than the 1st one, you might be just a tad disappointed....the best thing - go in, watch the movie, enjoy the bling & the decadence & come out feeling blessed about the best girl friends that you have (well, provided that you do have best girlfriends)....I'm lucky...I have 3 of them and they have seen the best & worst of me...and they still love me!! I'm one big lucky girl!! (^.^)
now, if only i had one hell of a great smoking body like Samantha, that would make it perfect....hahaa...well, a girl can always dream right?? (^.^)
